Fall Back into Seasonal (Skin) Routines
With the busy summer season finally coming to a close, many of us are looking forward to getting back into the routine of fall… and so is our skin. If you’re trying to get familiar with your fall regimen again, the team at Compass Dermatology is right there with you.
We asked our staff members about their plans for the upcoming season—and how they’re planning to primp and protect their skin. Check out their answers below!
What’s your favorite season?
The dermatologists and the rest of the staff are split on this one—Dr. Carroll and Dr. Cook both prefer summer, but the everyone else is looking forward to fall and comfy-sweater season.
What are you looking forward to most about autumn?
Most people agree that this is a fantastic time for seasonal food, moderate temperatures, fall leaves, and fashion—and so do we. But we’re also in favour of the change in routine. Dr. Carroll says she enjoys the chance to start “paring back on life’s clutter.” (We could all use a little less junk and a little more goodness in our lives, right?)
Do you have any exciting plans coming up?
It’s all about those fall vacation trips this year. From apple picking in nearby orchards and running in local half-marathons, to jet-setting in Europe and catching more sun in the Caribbean—our staff are taking full advantage of the great travel season to come.
What does your at-home skin routine look like?
Everyone’s skin is different, so we all have our own unique routines. However, everyone at Compass Dermatology tops off their morning routine with that all-important sunscreen. At night, cleansing and exfoliating are key, especially after wearing makeup. In the fall, we also use more hydration helpers to protect skin from the cooler weather. (Hint: you can find all our favorite brands at the Compass Online Shop!)
Are you planning on getting any treatments done soon?
As Dr. Carroll says, “It’s going to be a busy, beautiful fall!” All of our staff will be booking pre-holiday fillers and injectables sessions. Lasers are also a fall favorite—including BBL (BroadBand Light), Sylfirm X, and more. And don’t forget about Coolsculpting.
Our blog is dedicated to all the latest news from Compass Dermatology, a boutique dermatology clinic located in Toronto.
