What is the MOXI™ Laser?

The MOXI™ Laser is a non-ablative 1927nm thulium fractionated laser that gently heats columns of tissue in the skin to stimulate your natural healing process. MOXI™ is our go-to treatment for improving pigmentation and melasma. It also improves the texture of the skin and stimulates collagen and elastin for an antiaging effect.

Our Comprehensive Approach to MOXI™

At your initial consultation you will meet with one of Compass Dermatology’s expert laser aestheticians and a board-certified dermatologist to discuss your skin concerns and treatment goals. Prior to your MOXI™, topical anesthetic is applied. The MOXI™ handpiece is then passed over the treatment area, producing a mild prickly sensation.

Once your treatment is complete, aftercare products are applied to protect your skin and promote healing. You can resume your typical activities the day following your treatment. We recommend a repair cream such as Alastin Nectar or SkinCeuticals Epidermal Repair in combination with a broad-spectrum sunscreen and Oxygenetix healing foundation. For several days following your treatment, your skin will feel like sandpaper. You will see improved pigmentation and texture within 5 days following your treatment. Results are long-lasting and can be maintained and further enhanced with subsequent treatments.
