The excel®V+ treats skin concerns with two wavelengths:

The 532 nm wavelength (KTP) treats superficial vascular lesions including rosacea, redness, and spider veins.
The 1064 nm wavelength (Nd:YAG) treats deeper, darker vascular lesions including leg veins and vascular malformations as well as diffuse redness due to deeper blood vessels.

How does the excel®V+ work?

The laser works by delivering pulses of laser light energy that are absorbed by the blood and cause the blood to coagulate. The coagulated blood vessels are gradually absorbed by the body. Blood flow is redirected to deeper vessels. It is common to have redness and mild swelling following treatment with excel®V+, and in some cases temporary bruising may result.

Treatment of vascular lesions may require multiple sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart. Small vessels can often be eliminated after one or two treatments, while larger vessels may require multiple treatments. Sun exposure should be avoided prior to and immediately after treatments.
