What is Micro-laser Peel?

A Micro-laser Peel is a precise laser technology that exfoliates the top layers of skin to kickstart cellular renewal and reveal the fresh, even and smooth skin underneath.

The depth of your Micro-laser Peel can be customised based on your desired outcome and expectation for recovery time.

What are the Benefits of a Micro-laser Peel?

A Micro-laser Peel is an effective way to beautify your complexion. The specific benefits of this treatment include:

  • Rejuvenation of your skin at the cellular level.
Micro-laser Peel removes the damaged upper layers of skin and accelerates the rate at which healthy skin cells are produced. This increases collagen production for total skin rejuvenation.
  • The intensity of your Micro-laser Peel is tailored to each patient.
The flexibility of this technology allows us to adjust the settings to give you the intensity you need to safely achieve the results you want. For extensive sun damage, deeper skin resurfacing can be performed. For more severe issues, full skin resurfacing can be performed.
  • Micro-laser Peel can treat a wide variety of skin concerns.
Conditions that are effectively treated include mild wrinkles, keratoses, sun damage and pigmentation.
  • You can see dramatic results after just one treatment.
After just one treatment, your skin will look years younger!

Who is a Candiate for a Micro-laser Peel?

A Micro-laser Peel is able to improve the following skin concerns:

  • Fine lines
  • Pigmentation
  • Uneven tone
  • Keratoses (precancerous lesions)
  • Sun damage, such as freckles and sunspots
  • Overall dullness

The treatment is suitable for the face, neck chest and hands.

Micro-laser Peel treatments are great on their own or in combination with other products and cosmetic procedures for a more comprehensive improvement of your complexion.

How Does Micro-laser Peel Work?

The Micro-laser Peel technology utilizes an Erbium laser to precisely scan the targeted area. This gently removes the damaged uppermost layer of skin, thereby eliminating complexion imperfections. The depth of the peel is determined by your desired amount of correction, ranging up to 30μm (micrometres).

In the days following the treatment, cellular turnover occurs and the skin repairs itself. The damaged layers are shed and healthy skin cells cover the treated area.

The Micro-laser Peel is often referred to as the “weekend peel” - make your appointment Friday, recover over the weekend, and show off Monday!

Our Comprehensive Approach to Micro-laser Peel

Prior to your Micro-laser Peel you’ll consult with one of our expert laser aestheticians as well as one of our board-certified dermatologists to confirm that you are a good candidate for this treatment.

On the day of your Micro-laser Peel, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed. For deeper peels, a topical anesthetic will be applied for up to one hour to increase your comfort.

The handpiece of the Micro-laser Peel device will be held over the target area. A computer precisely guides the laser beam across the area, at a depth of 10-30 um. It is a relatively comfortable procedure that typically takes just 30 minutes. Upon completion of your peel a healing ointment is applied. During the recovery period of 3-5 days, your skin will be red, swollen, and will peel.

The most frequent comment we hear from our patients once they see their results is that they love how vibrant and healthy their skin looks!
